I also took subscriptions at home and at work for streams in especially New Music at Live365 I use Winamp for streaming audio, with the stations listed, and also WPRB and WBGO.įinally, one of my favorite of all time music sources, Music from the Hearts of Space was kicked out at WNYC. I gravitated to three stations: KUSC, Los Angeles WCNY, Syracuse and WCPE, Winston Salem, NC. I used Public Radio Fan and Shoutcast to find new sources for music “on the radio”. I think that this started when WNYC tossed out day time music on FM. I also found new homes for most of my sound equipment. I found new and loving homes for the physical media. I started a new blog, “ MusicSprings” because there were and are subjects of a singular nature about which to write, artists and composers, musical events, albums, and the like.īut, now I have an issue: Going all digital, for music an video. This was not melodic nor rhythmic music as one might have expected during the era i.e. The album was called Starscapes and to my ears was the first non Euro-classical influenced space music ever released with making note. Not sure you guys might know this but Stephen Hill was either owner or involved with the label Unity a small esoteric record label out of San Francisco(they also released a very nice album with Paul Horn and Laura Allan) back in the mid 70s that released an amazing one off by a visual artist named Geoffrey Chandler. ![]()
